Butte CPR keeps abreast of initiatives by local government and business and civic organizations, supporting or opposing them and offering development assistance as appropriate. Butte CPR members attend meetings including those of the Urban Revitalization Agency, Historic Preservation Commission, and Council of Commissioners.

Butte CPR was instrumental in improving contacts between Butte-Silver Bow County and buyers of tax-delinquent property.

Butte CPR works closely with the Butte-Silver Bow Historic Preservation Commission. The HPC’s responsibilities include review of all demolition permits for historic properties anywhere in the county except Walkerville, design review for properties listed on the Local Register anywhere in the county, and design review for properties receiving local funds or tax credits.

The HPC meets the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the third floor of the courthouse, 155 W. Granite.
