The Community Development Office is issuing Developer's Packets for the following properties:

1. 621 W. Quartz Street - structure - offered for rehabilitation

2. 715 Utah (Bud's Bar) - structure - offered for rehabilitation

3. 716-718 S. Wyoming Street - 2 small structures offered for 1) rehabilitation or 2) demolition and redevelopment investment.

4. 400 block of E. Park Street - "Parcel 54" - 0.59 acres east of 444 E. Park Street (approx. 208LF of Park Street frontage. The schedule for the Developer's Packet Process is as follows:

Packets will be available in the Clerk and Recorders Office on Monday, April 21, 2008.

Walkthroughs of the buildings will be held from NOON to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24 and Tuesday, April 29, 2008.

The proposal deadline is Friday, May 9, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. at the Clerk and Recorder's Office.

Applicants will make presentations to the Developer's Packet Review Committee on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at NOON in the Council Chambers, 155 W. Granite Street. Room 315.

A public hearing will be held at the Council of Commissioners meeting on May 14, 2008, 7:30 p.m. to solicit public comment on any and all proposals.

O'Rourke Buildings

This historic double building, constructed in 1892 and 1908, contains dozens of rooms in an attractive and interesting three-story edifice in the heart of Uptown Butte. The CPR has been involved in preserving the O'Rourke, both through financial investment (paying taxes, hiring structural engineers) and by volunteer effort to protect the building.

Note that Butte CPR has no connection with the properties below, and generally has little information beyond that provided here. We have not contacted the owners to inquire about plans, however the buildings have been vacant for some time and are in need of responsible owners. We suggest inquiring at the Butte Silver Bow County Courthouse concerning back taxes and any recent changes in ownership.
